Best Herbal Aphrodisiacs for Women

Women searching for a lift to their libido may want to try herbs as an aphrodisiac.
Herbs work on the female hormones to bring it into balance while other herbs work directly on the sexual organs to stimulate and heighten sensation.
It's important to know that a woman's hormones need to be balanced for her to get 'in the mood.'
Unbalanced hormones lead to a host of uncomfortable sensations and cause both physical and emotional changes in the body.
These include PMS symptoms such as bloating, cramping, headaches and fatigue along with emotional issues such as irritability, anger, depression and weepiness.
A woman experiencing peri-menopause may have other issues as well, such as hot flashes, night sweats, facial hair and heavy periods.
These symptoms can affect a woman for two weeks of the month - the week prior to her period and the week when she has her period.
If she's not feeling good during these two weeks, she will be less interested in love making.
The more stress a woman experiences also has an effect on whether her monthly cycle and her hormonal balance.
Taking herbs can not only bring hormones into balance but often reduce the effects of stress in many cases.
Some herbs may take a month or longer to bring a woman's hormones back into balance. Once the hormones are balanced, however, it may be all that is needed for a woman to get sexually stimulated.
Other herbs work more directly on the sexual organs but these also need to be taken in advance to tune up and prepare the body.
There are 12 herbs that a woman can consider taking to heighten her libido.
These herbs are; Chinese ginseng, Cordyceps, Rehmannia, Epimedium (also known as Horny Goat's Weed), Reishi, Gingko Biloba, Catuaba, Suma, Muira puama, Damiana, Maca and Yohimbine.
Two of these, Cordyceps and Reishi, are actually mushrooms which have herbal qualities.
Some herbs, like Yohimbine, are controversial and need to be taken with the consent of a doctor or a properly trained natural health care practitioner. Herbs like Yohimbine have many side effects and are also affected by the consumption of beverages such as caffeine or alcohol.
Aphrodisiacs like Epimedium shouldn't be taken on its own and should also be taken with caution as it can affect sleep patterns or a woman's hormones if she is experiencing symptoms like hot flashes.
Herbal aphrodisiacs may also have contraindications for people who are taking prescription drugs or are on monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), as there could be a number of unpleasant side effects.
Some herbs like suma and maca are adaptogens, which means they are effective at helping the body combat stress as well as being aphrodisiacs.
While these herbs are good choices for some people, they may not be for others.
Knowing which herbal aphrodisiacs to take can make all the difference for a healthy, hormonally balanced body.

Natural Remedy for Curing Gout

So you've been suffering from painful gout attacks?
Is there really a natural remedy to cure gout? If so, then why didn't your doctor tell you about it?

Gout is usually characterized by recurrent attacks of acute inflammatory arthritis - a red, tender, hot, swollen joint. It is caused by elevated levels of uric acid in the blood. Uric acid is the waste product formed from the breakdown of food and the body's cells. The uric acid crystallizes, and the crystals deposit in the joints, tendons, and surrounding tissues. Gout is a very painful medical condition, to put it mildly. Some sufferers have described the intense pain of a gout attack as similar to being burned by a flame.
Gout symptoms will usually last between three to ten days. If another attack occurs, they tend to increase in frequency, become more severe, and last longer. Over time, recurrent gout attacks can damage the joints and the surrounding areas.
There are several inter-dependent factorsthat helps to contribute the onset of gout attacks; Being overweight can worsen any type of arthritis and the over consumption of alcoholic beverages will not only cause gout but lead to other health complications such as hypertension and coronary artery disease.
Foods that are high in purines (found in all foods that have protein) and fructose sweetened beverages will cause excessive protein build-ups. By the way, that's the reason why in the past, gout was passed off as an affliction that only affects the rich due to the consumption of good food and plenty of liquor.
Another main trigger for Gout attack is due to severe dehydration. When our body is dehydrated, the amount of uric acid in our body rises. When this happen, our kidneys' ability to get rid of the extra uric acid decreases. So when our body doesn't have enough water, we will be more likely to get a gout attack. Drinking lots of unsweetened fluids will reduce the likelihood of crystals forming in our kidneys. The general rule to know for sure if we are well hydrated is to check the colour of our urine. If it is light in colour, we are well hydrated. However, if it is dark in colour, we need to drink more fluids, especially more plain water.
Most of the time, gout sufferers will try medications with analgesics properties to block the pain signals. Unfortunately, these paracetamol products can lessen crucial antioxidants which in turn can inhibit the elimination of uric acid levels.
Gout sufferers may also turn to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, colchicines, and corticosteroids. NSAIDs are the usual first-line treatment for gout.
However, drugs like Colchicines are known to cause stomach aches, nausea, vomiting and severe diarrhea. Other medications may lead to kidney stones and acute dehydration. Some may even worsen the acute inflammation. There are even medicines that though helps reduce the pain, at the same time, it can also prevent the kidneys from excreting uric acid, which in turn will develop into crystal and cause the acute inflammation.
Without proper treatment, episodes of acute gout may develop into chronic gout. Chronic gout will lead to the destruction of joint surfaces, joint deformity, and painless tophi. Therefore, it is important to treat gout condition as soon as possible because it can lead to permanent damage to our body.
When our health is at risk, we have got to get down to the root cause. Let's look at the solution to this condition with a new perspective. Natural remedy is kinder and gentler to our body than drugs, as well as being more effective overall. What we consume plays a hugely important role in both causing gout, and in reducing our likelihood of suffering from these painful symptoms.
Having said all that, if we still insist on taking chemicals to block our pain, then... However, if we are ready for a real and natural solution without the negative side effect, we should look for alternative remedy.
We can stay healthy by following our body's lead and using natural remedies. We must take the necessary action now if we really want to improve our well-being.
Since everything else we tried has not really worked, let's look at alternative solution that will save our money and time!

Help To Overcome Fears About Surgery And To Recover Quickly Afterwards

It is rare to discover a patient who really looks forward to surgery without having a few fears trying to hide themselves in the back of his or her mind. Some manage to keep those fears well hidden but others find this task a little more difficult to achieve.
We all know that fears cause tension. What you perhaps do not fully appreciate is that the more relaxed a patient is the easier surgery tends to be and the quicker the recovery time. Hence it is extremely important to address any fears and to overcome them to the very best of one's ability.
When preparing for surgery your medical team will do their very best to explain the procedure and to allay any fears that you might have. This tends to be approached from a factual, logical mind, perspective. Most patients also try to focus their minds logically and to simply try to push any feelings of fear to the back of his or her mind. You in effect try to suppress the fear, keep a stiff upper lip and just get on with it.
I suspect that this attitude is the one that is favored because most people do not realize that there is anything else that they can do to address their fears or lessen them. The best that they feel that they can do is to lessen their fears by ignoring them.
But even when you manage to focus upon something else and effectively turn a blind eye to fears, your body will reflect those hidden feelings. Your logical mind may indeed focus upon something else, but your body will reflect your emotional feelings.
Fear is something that is experienced instinctively and automatically. It happens without your logical mind having time to control it. Thus to control fear you need to find a way to get into and interrupt this automatic thinking and feeling part of your mind. This is the domain of the subconscious mind.
With hypnosis you can access your subconscious mind. Hypnosis is a state of relaxation. This in itself is of great benefit. But there is even more benefit in what can be achieved through gaining access to your subconscious mind. Suggestions can be made to ensure that you remain calm and relaxed when thinking about your surgery, preparing for your surgery, during your surgery and whilst recovering from your surgery.
Any surgeon will tell you that a relaxed patient makes for a better patient. Not only are you, the patient, a whole lot more comfortable, the surgery itself is made easier as well. The more relaxed you are the less medication you will most likely need and the quicker your recovery time is likely to be. Medical research has proven these likelihoods, in addition to other huge benefits of being relaxed and calm.
And so if you thought before now that there is nothing you can do to help yourself to stay relaxed and calm throughout surgery then I would encourage you to try hypnosis. Hypnosis is natural and has no negative side effects. Hypnosis is also easy to use simply by listening to a hypnosis mp3 download designed to assist with your attitude towards your surgery. With hypnosis you can align your emotional experience with your chosen logical perspective.

Kratom, How Safe Is It?

If taken responsibly, and by itself, Kratom is extremely safe. If over used, Kratom may become habit forming, and because of this, it is best to use it occasionally, rather than daily. When first taking Kratom, it is recommended that do not use it more than once a week, preferably only once or twice a month. This is to ensure that taking Kratom does not become a habit.
Are There Any Health Concerns?
If you consume Kratom responsibly, it is unlikely that you will experience any health issues. In Thailand, where some people consume large quantities of Kratom daily, those dependent on it have lost weight, developed dark pigmentation of the face, and if they quit abruptly, have experienced withdrawal symptoms, which may include; muscle aches, runny nose, diarrhea, muscle aches and jerking, irritability, and uncontrollable crying. As with almost any substance, some people may find that they have an allergic or other reaction to Kratom, even if they use it responsibly.
Can Kratom be Taken With Other Substances?
It is recommended that Kratom not be mixed with stimulant type substances or drugs such as; coffee, amphetamines, yohimbine, and any illegal drugs because of the risk of over-stimulation or increased blood pressure.
It is also recommended that you don't take Kratom with large amounts of alcohol, benzodiazepines, opiates, or any other type of drug that affects the nervous system. This is because there is a possibility that combining these may cause over-sedation and possibly respiratory distress.
You should also not combine Kratom with any type of MAO inhibitors, because serious and even fatal reactions can occur when mixing these with monoamine drugs, and Kratom contains monoamne alkaloids.
There are some combinations that users have claimed to be both pleasant and safe. You can combine Kratom with regular black tea, and many have mixed it with tea made from red poppy flowers, and tea made from blue lotus.
It has also been combined safely with small amounts of alcohol; however Kratom and large amounts of alcohol should be avoided.

Many people enjoy smoking tobacco, or herbal smoke while under the influence of Kratom, but when doing this you should make sure that you don't fall asleep and drop lit materials.
Is Kratom Legal?
Kratom is currently legal in most countries, including Europe and the United States, at the moment it is illegal in Malaysia, Burma, Australia, and Thailand, and these countries have severe penalties if you are caught in possession of the herb. Laws often change, so before using Kratom, double-check to ensure that it is legal in your location.
Where Can I Purchase Kratom?
There are many online merchants who sell Kratom in the form of dried leaves, extracts or both. However, some vendors advertise different grades of Kratom for different prices, although users have stated that there is little, if any difference between them. So be sure that you make your purchases from a reputable company.
